Continuing to Learn/Fail

Hello again guys!   Ah yes, this tray here I also messed up. Like I said, lots of screw ups occur with resin! The important thing is to not give up. It is so worth it in the end when you’ve finally made something that you’re so proud of. So how did I mess this one up? Well, again, I was on my final coat of resin which makes the pain so much worse because it was almost finished! Anyway, I was torching the white waves trying to get those lacing details and I got a little heavy handed with...

Making of the Acacia Cheeseboards

Hiya!   I wanted to give you guys a little glimpse into how I make my ocean resin acacia cheese boards! I start off by taping the bottom of the board. Copper Foil Fun

Guys, I love how this fluid painting turned out! I’ve really been into adding gold and silver foil to art lately and I thought why not try copper! Ocean Coasters

Guys! These coasters are everything.  I was on the hunt for sand and all I could find at the store was this sparkly sand which I wasn’t too thrilled about but the way it looks underneath the resin has me breathless. It reminds me of the glittering sand under the sun at the beach and I feel like I’m on vacation when I look at them. What a happy accident! I used two different blue powdered pigments to color the resin while replicating the coastline. Next, the white lacing was added to create the appearance of the crashing ocean waves....

Pop of Red Commission

acrylic Art canvas Commission Painting Resin

Hey guys, I wanted to share a little bit about this exciting commission piece. First off I have to say, there’s something about 4’x8’ sized canvases that I love. They are my favorite size to paint on! The finished piece, whether presented horizontally or vertically up on the wall, just has the power to command the room. It captivates the eye pulling you from one side on a journey all the way across the surface to the other.  This time, our customer requested the use of the colors black, white, red, and gold. I had been itching to use these...
